Trivia

  John Greig resigned on the 28th October 1982 and was replaced by the returning Jock Wallace in November. Tommy McLean had been the caretaker manager.

  On the 12th November (Wallace's first match as new manager) Rangers experienced their fifth straight league defeat - a rather unfortunate club record.
