After what turned out to be a very comfortable win in Perth, we rate the players' performances. Who was your Man of the Match?

Allan McGregor
Allan McGregor
Literally only had the one real save to make but it was a vital one towards the end of the first half. Showed his class one more! 8
James Tavernier

Like most of the team, the skipper lifted his performance after half-time and it was from his cross that Connor Goldson scored the second goal that allowed the team to breathe. 7
Connor Goldson
Connor Goldson
After a decent game in midweek, Goldson had an easier time of it yesterday and can be happy with his performance which included a fine headed goal. 7
Filip Helander
Filip Helander
Like his partner in central defence, the big Swede didn't have much to do but again looked fairly comfortable. 7
Borna Barisic

Now finally getting a run in the team and his confidence seems to be increasing along with the quality of his contribution. Solid and reliable throughout. 7
Ryan Jack

Was the best outfield player in a poor first half team performance and it was his superb long ball to Morelos that helped get us on our way after half-time. Another assist for Jermain Defoe's first strike ensured a fine day out for one of our best players this season. Gersnet's Man of the Match 9
Steven Davis
Steven Davis
Didn't affect the team enough in the first half but stepped up after half-time and played his game 20-30 yards further up the pitch which made all the difference. Made an incredible double stop on the line with five mins left. 8
Joe Aribo
Joe Aribo
Another who struggled in the fist half to find space, he made the most of St Johnstone having to come out after our opener and was a consistent threat across the second half. Should have scored from headed effort which hit the bar. 7
Sheyi Ojo
Sheyi Ojlo
Didn't really get the service he'd like in the first half and looked somewhat dangerous when he did get the ball but has to be more positive when in good areas. 6
Brandon Barker
Brandon Barker
Like Ojo and Morelos, suffered from no supply but seemed to lack sharpness and ideas when he did receive it. Will need to do more to get into this team. 5
Alfredo Morelos
Alfredo Morelos
Once again Scottish football's best striker proved the catalyst for a vital Rangers win via a performance of grit and quality. A superb finish for the opening goal! 8

Substitutes

Scott Arfield
Scott Arfield
Deserved to be rested after a busy schedule this summer and he made the most of the space he was afforded as Rangers dominated later in the game. 6
Jermain Defoe
Jermain Defoe
Time after time the former England striker shows his quality in and around the box and he can be well pleased with his late brace courtesy of two fine finishes. 8
Greg Stewart
Greg Stewart
The attacker hasn't had much game time of late but will point to two late goals during his time on the field. He didn't directly contribute to either but did ensure space for others via his work in forward areas. 5
